After months of working alone, there came this wonderful day when complete strangers arrived to help me build the house. It was a marvelous day, headed up by Matts Myhrman, straw bale pioneer and author. That's him at the bottom, receiving the bale. We gently slid the bales down from the top of the stacks, so they wouldn't be damaged.
